While I had a clean room, the overall experience felt basic, especially without the meal package-it’s a mistake to skip it here. The shared facilities were acceptable but lack the authentic onsen vibe you'd find at a countryside ryokan. Plus, the frosted bedroom window cuts off any real view, limiting the connection to the outside. The futons offered during my stay were less than comfortable, a surprise considering prior experiences.

I stayed in a Japanese-Style Room with Private Bathroom. The room had everything I needed and was clean, but it felt smaller than expected. The futon mattress was surprisingly comfy, better than some hotel beds. I liked the private bathroom, but it was a bit cramped. The atmosphere was nice, but at times, it felt like we were intruding on the owners' space when we returned to freshen up. Still, I enjoyed the traditional breakfast they offered.

The location was spot on, just a stroll to Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle. The shared services were super clean, and the staff even lent me an umbrella when it started to rain. Just wished the bathrooms were in the rooms. Otherwise, a chill vibe for solo explorers!
